As a design consultant expert in luxury and quality handbags, luggages, and small leather goods for more than 20 years, I travelled the world to develop and meet leatherworkers with different know-how, looking for the best materials and leathers, meeting with passionate people.
I had the pleasure to start business collaborations with a lot of great factories and workshops.
So when it was the time to choose the right partner for this new quality handmade pocket wallets and bags project I naturally choose one of them.
One quality leather-goods maker based in south of Spain:in a city called Ubrique in a family business factory and workshops. I have met more than 20 years ago when I was an accessories designer at Nina Ricci in luxurious avenue Montaigne in Paris at the beginning of my career. Fernando was running the handbags and small leather goods factory where some of my NR designs were prototyped, made and produced.
As at that time I also designed the first Comme des Garçons wallets and small leather goods with Christian Astuguevieille who was the design consultant for Rei Kawakubo and also creative director of Nina Ricci accessories.
Since then they are still producing the CDG wallets distributed worldwide for exclusive retailers from Japan to the US, to Europe in selective premium concept stores. When I had the MLS design concept ready the first people I wanted to collaborate with were Laura and Fernando and we started this new adventure together…
So this is a long term relationship where we share the same values for work, family and humanity: quality, excellence, and respect.
